Jeanine Humphrey

Founder and Lead Environmental Consultant

Jeanine Humphrey is the founder, owner, and lead environmental consultant of M.A.R.S. Environmental. She specializes in assessing and mitigating environmental hazards such as lead, asbestos, radon, mold, and metal contamination across residential, commercial, and post-disaster sites, with particular expertise in areas impacted by wildland-urban interface (WUI) fires. Jeanine’s comprehensive approach empowers clients to make informed, confident decisions.

Jeanine has a deep commitment to community health and is a strong advocate for clients navigating insurance claims and environmental disputes. She has served as an expert witness in fire-related environmental cases, providing science-based testimony and professional insight to support fair outcomes. Her work embodies the M.A.R.S. Environmental mission and slogan:

When she’s not in the field or collaborating with clients, Jeanine enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and getting lost in a good book. These activities reflect her belief in balance, learning, and connection.

Brooke Kennedy

Operations Manager

Brooke Kennedy is the heart of operations at M.A.R.S. Environmental, serving as the main point of contact for all services. From scheduling appointments to writing detailed reports, Brooke ensures every client receives timely, personalized care. Known for her empathy and professionalism, she brings a people-first mindset to every interaction – helping clients feel heard, supported, and on the path to a safer, healthier environment. Outside of work, you’ll find her under the hood of a car with her fiancé or lost in a good book. Brooke is proud to be part of a mission-driven team improving lives, one environment at a time.

Linzy Chrapkowski

Field Inspector and Industrial Hygienist

Linzy Chrapkowski is a dedicated field inspector and industrial hygienist committed to helping clients feel safe, informed, and confident in the health of their homes. With a strong technical background and a passion for environmental safety, she specializes in identifying and assessing hazards that can impact indoor air quality and overall well-being.

Linzy holds multiple professional certifications, including Certified Mold Inspector, Asbestos Building Inspector, Lead-Based Paint Inspector, and Radon Measurement Professional. She is also currently working toward earning her ACAC Certified Fire and Smoke Damage Assistant Technician credential to expand her expertise in post-fire assessment and remediation guidance.

Each inspection she conducts is rooted in accuracy, transparency, and client advocacy. Whether addressing mold concerns, lead hazards, asbestos risks, or environmental impacts from fire and smoke, her goal is always to ensure the people she serves feel safe, supported, and empowered in their homes.

Outside of work, Linzy enjoys staying creative through art projects, hitting the mountain to snowboard, and spending quality time with the people who matter most.

Don Humphrey

Co-Owner

Don Humphrey is the co-owner of M.A.R.S. Environmental. He brings more than 20 years of hands-on experience in the environmental field, pairing deep technical expertise with a strong construction background to deliver practical, high-impact solutions. He specializes in multi-family radon testing and mitigation, radon-resistant new construction for large building projects, vapor intrusion investigation and control, methane barrier systems, asbestos, and mold. Don’s understanding of how buildings are designed and assembled enables him to tackle complex, large-scale projects with clarity, efficiency, and an eye for long-term performance.

A devoted family man, Don values the people closest to him above all else. When he’s off the clock, he’s usually outside, fly fishing whenever he can, spending time in the mountains, and soaking up any chance to be with his people.
